Who is responsible

What we collect
Accounts use your name, email address and securely managed sign-in details. Wishlists store the prints you save and whether you choose to share them. Orders, when enabled, require your contact details, delivery or collection arrangements, items purchased, payment reference and order status. Card details are handled by the payment provider, not stored by Makwande.
Contact forms collect your name, email, message and consent. Artist submissions collect institution, study year, mediums, portfolio links and optional images. Artist website consent forms record the artist's name, email, institution, selected works, permission wording, typed signature, date and submission time. If a mailing list is introduced, it will collect only the information requested at signup with separate marketing consent. An enquiry or purchase does not subscribe you to marketing.
Why we use it
We use information to answer enquiries, consider artist submissions, manage accounts and wishlists, record permission, fulfil orders, arrange delivery, resolve concerns and meet legal obligations. We do not sell personal information. We collect only what is needed for these purposes.
Storage, sharing and security
Website records are stored in Lovable Cloud with restricted access. Artist submissions, uploaded portfolios, signatures and order records are not publicly readable. Approved artwork information is public only with artist website permission. A wishlist becomes shareable only when its owner enables sharing. Service providers receive information needed to host the website, process payments or deliver an order. [CONFIRM providers, processing locations and any international transfers].
We use access controls and secure connections, but no online service can guarantee absolute security. Keep your sign-in details private. You may request access, correction or deletion, object to processing, or withdraw consent by emailing info.makwandeartprints@gmail.com. Withdrawal stops future consent-based use but does not invalidate lawful earlier processing; some records may need to be retained for legal purposes. Artists can withdraw website permission for specified works by email. You may complain to South Africa's Information Regulator.
Cookies and browser storage
The website uses storage needed for sign-in and your shopping cart. No optional advertising or analytics tracking cookies have been added by Makwande. If optional tracking is introduced, it will require a separate notice and appropriate choice before activation.
